But fortunately for you, we will send you our know-how and experience to start properly and no longer ask all these questions!

The first step is to choose a canvas that suits you, which you love and which you have a crush. To do this, you will have to choose from all categories. There is something for everyone.
Here is a small non -exhaustive list of the most purchased Diamond Painting kits:
- Diamond Painting Animals

- Diamond Painting Landscapes
And there are still many others! You have understood, you must choose your canvas according to your personal tastes. It is even possible to customize your canvas with your own photo, see the Personalized kit.
Which format to choose in Diamond Painting?
When you go browse the different paintings on your favorite shop (always Diamond Faction, it is obvious), you will have to choose between different sizes of paintings.
To put it simply, the greater the dimensions of your canvas, the more your canvas will have a net result (therefore less pixelated). Some people prefer small canvases to start, which is the most judicious choice not to spend much when it is your first time.
If you want directly a clearer rendering, we strongly recommend that you go to larger formats (like the 60x60cm which gives a very good rendering).
Round or square diamonds?
Well done ! You have chosen the canvas that you like and you have chosen the format that most corresponds to the result you want to give. However, there is still a choice to make (don't worry, it's the last).
In Diamond Painting, there are two main categories of diamonds: Round or square -shaped pearls. There is another type of diamond (AB diamond: Aurore Boreale) but at first we will see the most common.
Round diamonds
The round diamond is the choice par excellence for a beginner. Even confirmed people use them. We will explain to you why.
This type of diamond is very simple to place and easy to handle. They are also suitable for people with motor difficulties with their hands.
They leave a small space between them but despite that, the rendering is amazing. These are the diamonds that our customers prefer.
Square diamonds
One wonders, if the round diamonds are so perfect, Why choose square diamonds? Everything is a question of preference in reality.
Square diamonds require more precision during installation, requiring perfect alignment for a smooth rendering on the canvas. When it is placed correctly, the rendering is even more incredible. It can leave you speechless, so the canvas will be perfect.
On the other hand, this requires a certain rigor, and it is not advised to make your very first canvas. To help you, you can use This pose rule which is a way to bypass the bad alignments of square pearls.
How to stick your diamonds in Diamond Painting
You have just received your first complete diamond embroidery kit, welcome to the world of Diamond Painting! Now it's time to tackle serious things, how to do it?
The accessories provided in the kit
In your full kit (you saw it coming, on your favorite site Diamond Faction To change), you have:
- 1 High quality numbered adhesive canvas
- Individual sachets of numbered diamonds
- 1 Diamond Painting pen
- Diamond Painting special glue
- 1 Diamond Painting sorting tray
- Sometimes we give a clamp
You see it, you already have a lot of equipment in a single kit!
Understand the DMC color code
On the outline of your canvas, you have a color code called Dmc (To find out more, you can read This article on the origin of the DMC). This is in the form of a 3 columns table:
- The diamond sachet number
- The diamond symbol
- DMC color code
- The quantity of diamonds (according to the canvas)
On your canvas, you have different symbols that represent the type of diamond to use. You will see, even a 2 year old child manages to understand it. You just have to look at the symbol of your choice, then look at the correspondence on the board. Finally, open your corresponding sachet.
Start your Diamond Painting kit
Once you have understood the DMC color code (fingers in the nose), you will have to remove the protective film stuck on the canvas.
Our advice is to completely remove the film and stick baking paper instead on the whole canvas. And this for 2 reasons:
- You will be able to better spot places without diamonds
- You will be able to come and work on any area without leaving the glue of the canvas in the open air.
Once the baking paper stuck on the canvas, we use a precision scalpel Specially designed for diamond embroidery, but any other cutting tool will do the trick. We make areas by square and this allows us to work in the area of our choice.
Use the Diamond Painting pen
Once you have chosen an area and you cut it, it's time to bring your sorting tray, your glue and your pen (or stylus for purists).
Here are the different steps explained simply:
- Put the diamonds of your choice in the sorting tray to come and take them easily
- Remove a part of the protective film from the glue and immerse the tip of the pen completely in the glue
- Recover a diamond in the sorting tray (from above) and paste it at the end of the pen
- Apply the diamond on the right symbol (the glue of the canvas will make the rest of the work)
And now, you stuck your first diamond in just four steps! You already become a future (or future) expert in Diamond Painting. All you have to do is apply the process to the whole of your canvas.
Supervise your Diamond Painting
Your canvas is now over, and you don't know what to do with it? You can offer it to a friend or even sell it. At the house of Diamond Faction, we have a preference for supervision.
We like to supervise our canvases in our room. Many of our customers also opt for this solution. This allows you to have an original piece. Of course, you have to make it stick with your room and your decoration.
